A little lilting music and the chink of ice, new faces, smiles all along, resounding laughter- yes it is celebration time!
The 4th of August was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher of Viscom departmentin St. Britto’s College. The Fresher’s day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The chief guest for the day was ourPrincipal. DrThamasPonraj.
The Principal Dr. ThamasPonraj and Head of the Department of Visual communication-Ms.Sobiya, Mr.Satheeswaran, Faculty member of Tamil department, Ms.Abhinandhana,Mr.Bernard, Mr.Thiagarajan from Shipping and logistics department presided over the event .
The dress code for the Fresher’s day was ‘Dress your Best’ for Fresher’s. The celebration started at 11.30 am with the opening prayer followed by the welcome address by Ms. Jayashree ,III Year, the Fresher’s were formally welcomed into the Viscom family, the chief guest and the other guest members of the day were introduced . Mr. Ajithkumar of III year started introducing the fresher’s and made to stand up on the dais.
The Principal congratulated the students for the concept “Ninaithale Inikkum” and Staff Members who have arranged and organized the event successfully.
The students of II and III year were designed a interesting concept “Niniaithale Inikkum” in that all the staff members were participated and travelled back to the time.
Ms. Abhinandhana, Mr.Bernard, Mr.Thiagarajan of shipping and logisitcs department and Mr.Satheeswaran of Tamil department, gave a convincing speech and motivated all the students to contribute more to the well-being of the Department.
The event was Organised by ‘III and II year Viscom students’, and provided refreshment for the fresher’s. The energetic and enthusiastic emcees of the show were III and II year Viscom students of the Department.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks and finally with the national anthem, all thefresher’s including the senior’s rocked the show and enjoyed the celebrations and all thanked the HOD, staff and seniors students for hosting such a nice program that they could cherish lifelong.
